In this project, applications are developed that on the one hand optimise network-wide traffic management and control, and on the other hand advise drivers on the most efficient routes and assist them in applying an eco-friendly driving style. The applications are validated using different test methods: with (small scale) field trials, driving simulator studies and microscopic traffic network simulations. In order to perform a consistent and integrated validation and impact assessment, a validation approach based on the FESTA methodology was developed that combines all these elements.
