This method is built side-by-side with existing standardized numerical and experimental procedures to extend their present scope to transient, multi-dimensional heat transfer assessment under on-site experimental conditions. An overall framework is designed and validated by means of numerical and experimental processes. A generalized formulation is proposed for the disaggregation of multidimensional heat transfer. This formulation is developed into numerical and experimental case studies, adapted for the calibration of numerical models with experimental data, and used for the experimental determination of the 2D surplus heat transfer in an architectural junction. The calculation of differential thermal performance of a building insulation system is performed over experimental data, which serves as validation of the proposed method.enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/restrictedAccessDynamic performance assessment of multidimensional heat transfer in buildingsjournal article10.1016/j.jobe.2019.100893ExperimentationHeat transferModel calibrationThermal bridgeCivil and Structural EngineeringArchitectureBuilding and ConstructionSafety, Risk, Reliability and QualityMechanics of Materialshttp://www.scopus.com/inward/record.url?scp=85070074570&partnerID=8YFLogxK
