Coated scaffolds capable of releasing bioactive agents for inhibiting totally or partially the inflammatory response of the surrounding tissues, are now being regarded as potential useful systems. Polymeric nanoparticles are known to be able to provide a programmable and sustained local drug delivery [1-3]. In addition, biodegradable and biocompatible scaffolds having a highly open porous structure and good mechanical strength are needed to provide an optimal microenvironment for cell proliferation, migration, and differentiation, and guidance for cellular in-growth from host tissue [4]. This study describes preliminary results on a novel coating method using spraying techniques for coating micro-nanometric crosslinked hydrogels on 3D biodegradable scaffolds. %~
